Magnesium oxide

nedMag 99, high grade synthetic dead burned magnesium oxide (DBM).

This is an important raw material for basic refractories used in the cement and steel industry, which is by far the main application for nedMag 99. With an annual output of more than 165.000 tons Nedmag has become the world’s largest producer of synthetic DBM. In order to maintain this leading position Nedmag is responding to the increasing demand in the market by a further stepwise expansion of the production. The magnesium oxide plant is expected to run fully automated towards an annual output of more than 180.000 tons in 2008.

nedMag99 is also available as caustic (= soft burned) magnesia powder.
