nedMag Ca, calcium chloride (CaCl2), is considered as one of the most versatile chemicals. Due to its unique chemical and physical characteristics it is used in a variety of applications.

In construction, concrete mixes containing CaCl2 realize reduced set times, especially at lower temperatures. In the oil and gas industry, CaCl2 is combined with other high density chemicals in drilling operation and used as a completion fluid. During winter, CaCl2 is applied to roads to prevent ice from bonding to pavement, and added to salt and sand to enhance their effectiveness.
