Flue gas treatment

nedMag H is a new alkali for wet type flue gas desulphurization and dechlorination processes. This alkali is manufactured by precipitating magnesium hydroxide from the raw materials dolime (CaO.MgO) and magnesium chloride brine.

Used in wet flue gas desulphurization (FGD)systems nedMag H reacts with the SO2 in the off-gasses forming a concentrated magnesium sulphate solution. In dechlorination systems nedMag H reacts with the HCl forming a magnesium chloride solution.

Compared to NaOH in flue gas treatment, significant savings can be made with the use of nedMag H due to its much lower consumption (70%). Nedmag H is classified as a non hazardous product.
