Dehumidifier

Calcium chloride (CaCl2) and magnesium chloride (MgCl2) are both hygroscopic (absorbs moisture from the air) and deliquescent (dissolves in this moisture to form a solution). Thus, solid prills and flakes will absorb moisture from the air until it fully dissolves and the solution will continue to absorb moisture until an equilibrium is reached between the vapour pressure of the solution and that of the air.

Calcium chloride prills and magnesium chloride flakes are widely used as a water absorbent in dehumidifiers, which can be used in:
• Recreational applications (RV’s, boats and home applications)
• Containers
• All kind of industrial (gas)dehumidifying
