Both ionic components of calcium chloride (CaCl2) - calcium (Ca) and chloride (Cl) - are essential to plant nutrition and health and can improve yields appreciably. Calcium chloride is therefore used in fertiliser manufacture and in farms, orchards and other agricultural endeavours.
